This article seeks to show how women’s poems first appeared in contemporary Persian newspapers; How women’s poetry was understood by the literary movements in formal and limited definitions? In which journals did the first women’s voices which broke with tradition appear? What was the approach of the 1979 revolutionaries to the modernist women poets and what was the relationship between women’s poetry in the newspapers before and after the 1979 Revolution. In other words, the present article tries to examine and analyze the conversation of different currents of contemporary poetry with a holistic view, relying on women’s poetry in Iranian journals and magazines.
