Does literature have gender? Most of those who give a negative answer believe that the reinterpretation of women’s works based on their relationships with men leads to diminishment of the achievements of women in literary life. Female poets in Iran are doubly affected by domination, the domination of the patriarchal society and the domination of the totalitarian government. Mastery in their writings has led to the emergence of two categories of features; The features that have emerged by accepting dominance in order to reduce its ferocity; and the features that have emerged to stand against the dominance and to disrupt the logic of the dominant language. These characteristics show changes in terms of frequency of usage over time, which can be used to analyze the process of forming a poetic tradition for women’s poetry. The present research considers women’s poetry has unique characteristics in its use of language, and it intends to conduct a stylistic study by examining these characteristics.
