Roja Chamankar
Roja Chamankar is a poet, scholar, and filmmaker. She holds an M.A. in Film Studies from Université de Strasbourg, an M.A. in Dramatic Literature, and a B.A. in Cinema from the University of Art, Tehran.
Chamankar has authored over ten collections of poetry in Persian, with her works translated and published in multiple languages. She has received several international awards, including the Catullo Poetry Award (2024) and the Nikos Gatsos International Award (2016).
Beyond her literary work, Chamankar has taught Persian literature, film studies, and world poetry at various institutions in Iran and abroad, including the University of Art in Tehran. She has also served as a jury member for multiple literary competitions and participated in international poetry festivals.
