Reza Yaghoubi
Reza Yaghoubi is an Iranian scholar, poet, author, and translator whose work spans multiple disciplines, including philosophy, literature, and translation studies. His publications include scholarly articles, critical essays, original writings, poetry, and numerous translations of major philosophical and humanities texts.
Yaghoubi is a key contributor to the Encyclopedia of Hafez and Hafez Studies (Nakhestan Parsi Publishing, 2018), where he authored approximately 25 entries under the leadership of Dr. Abdullah Jassbi and the editorial supervision of Baha al-Din Khorramshahi. His contributions include entries on “Hafez’s Ethics,” “Hafez’s Worldview,” “Philosophy in the Divan of Hafez,” “Hafez and Goethe,” and “Aesthetics of Hafez.”
His research primarily explores the intersections of philosophical thought and literary analysis, with a focus on making significant philosophical and intellectual traditions accessible to Persian-speaking audiences. Among his notable translations are Anthony Kenny’s four-volume History of Philosophy, Elliot Sober’s Core Questions in Philosophy, John Dewey’s Liberalism and Social Action and Freedom and Culture, and Leonard T. Hobhouse’s Liberalism.
