Fātimah Mīnāʾī

Fātimah Mīnāʾī is a faculty member at the Encyclopaedia Islamica Foundation in Tehran. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Tehran and earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Iranian Institute of Philosophy. 

Mīnāʾī’s research interests encompass the history of ideas, systems and structures of thought, and Iranian cultural and literary studies. She is a researcher, translator, and lecturer in philosophy, teaching graduate courses at Khātam University. Her scholarly work explores various aspects of metaphysics in Western and Islamic philosophy, including concepts such as time, as well as natural theories in Islamic theology, at the intersection of ancient philosophy and the history of sciences. Additionally, she investigates the manifestations of philosophical thought in poetry. While most of her academic contributions have been published in Persian, Mīnāʾī has recently begun writing in English to broaden the reach of her scholarship.
