Abdolmajid Yousefinekoo
Dr. Abdolmajid Yousefinekoo is an independent researcher and scholar based in Arak, Iran. He earned his Ph.D. in Persian language and literature from the Arak University. Dr. Yousefinekoo began his career in the industrial sector, before transitioning into academia. In 2005, he shifted to education, teaching in Farahan and Arak until his retirement in 2020. Between 2008 and 2014, he served as a guest lecturer at several institutions, including Farhan University, Farhangian Central Province University, and Arak Mudarres University of Arak.
Since 2021, Dr. Yousefinekoo has been actively engaged in research in the “Persian Literature” and “People’s Culture” divisions at the Dā’irat al-Ma‘ārif Buzurg-i Islāmī (Great Encyclopedia of Islam) center in Tehran. His ongoing work has resulted in the publication of 12 comprehensive encyclopedia entries, covering figures such as Fusūnī Tabrīzī,” “Fasīhī Hiravī,” “Farālāvī,” “Fakhr Hiravī,” “Ghanī Kashmīrī,” and “Ghanīmat Kunjāhī,” among others. He also briefly collaborated with the Farhangistān-i Zabān va Adab-i Fārsī, contributing an article during his tenure.
In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Yousefinekoo is a regular contributor to renowned journals such as Iran Nameh and Iran Namag. His numerous articles have been featured in various Iranian publications. In 2016, he authored the book Injā kasī pinhān ast, mānand-i qand dar nay (Someone is hidden here, like sugar-cube in cane) which explores the profound influence of Rumi’s Masnavī-yi ma‘navī on other mystical masnavis. Currently, he is collaborating with the literary magazine Nāmah-yi Bāysunqur. His research interests focus primarily on Persian classical literature and the literary traditions of the Persian-speaking world in the Indian subcontinent.
