Shams al-Mulūk Musāhib Tihrānī, also known as Shams al-Mulūk Musāhib (born Tehran, 1913—died Tehran, October 2, 1997), was an Iranian writer, translator, and legislator. Musahib spent much of her professional career in education, pursuing educational reform and improving women’s access to education. Literacy is the subject of many of Musāhib’s writings, although she also wrote poetry and translated works of European literature. Musāhib was amongst the first women who entered the University of Tehran; she was also the first woman who received a doctorate in Persian Literature from the University of Tehran.
