Definition

Laylā Kurdbachchah was born in 1980 in Tehran. Her poetic genres mainly consist of shiʿr-i naw and shiʿr-i sipīd. In addition to being a poet, she is a prominent researcher and critic of literature, with numerous articles on the criticism and analysis of the history of literature to her credit. Kurdbachah obtained a doctorate in Persian language and literature from Isfahan University, where she majored in contemporary literature. The titles of some her poem collections include Kalāghmargī, Āvāz-i kargadan, and Chirā kih nabūdī.
