Definition
Badrī Tundarī was a twentieth-century poetess and promoter of the constitutionalist cause. The wife of Maḥmud Tanuri Qomi, her mother was the sister of Āyat Allāh Bihbahāni. Skilled in French, Persian, and Arabic literature, she infused social commentary into her poetry and composed more than 2,000 verses, some of which were published in Gulhā-yi rangārang. She was influenced by the Iraqi style and wrote Maqām-i zan dar jahān.
