Afsar al-Mulūk ʿAmilī

Afsar al-Mulūk ʿĀmilī, also known as Iʿtisām (born Mashhad, February 9, 1892—died Gorgan, n.d.) was an Iranian poet. ʿĀmilī is the author of a book of epic poetry, Kūrush nāmah, which she wrote at the age of fifty but was not able to complete because of old age. The work, which starts by taking up the reign of the Medes and ends with Xerxes I’s coronation, was released in 1965.
